East Lothian Council will soon be developing its 2025/2035 plan for how development will take place in and around Dunbar.
In March 2023 a public survey asked our local community their views on a wide range of topics that the Local Place Plan could focus on. The focus of this plan is future land use and will feed into the Local Development Plan and a statutory requirement for all planning authorities.

The Steering Group for the Dunbar and West Barns Local Place Plan involved volunteer representatives from the Dunbar Community Council, West Barns Community Council, Dunbar and East Linton Area Partnership, Sustaining Dunbar and the Dunbar Trades Association.
