Scottish Water have today confirmed that Robertson Homes and Avant Homes will NOT now be using Scottish Water pipework at East Beach but will, instead, work with Scottish Water to find an alternative, non-beach, solution. They have confirmed that any new design will seek to incorporate the likely demand from the Golf Club site and, if it ever comes to pass, the Newtonlees site.
The Community Council have been very concerned at the prospect of disruption to the Southern part of East Beach with the proposed installation of an upgraded sewage pipe. Thankfully, Scottish Water have listened to our views. We are delighted that an alternative solution is in prospect, which will meet current and future needs.
