The meeting strted with a guest presentation by Grahame Clarke of the Community Alcohol Partnreship (CAP). He explained how CAP exists to reduce alcohol harm in local communities from drinking by young people under 25. Action plans are based on 3 key pillars involving the provision of positive activities, alcohol education, and responsible retail strategies.
There was a discussion about the proposed park and ride facility for the Oxwell Mains development. 5+ coaches will travel from there
to the Oxwell Mains site morning and night with shuttle buses in between.
New governance documents for the DCC Constitution were signed off at this meeting.
After canvassing DCC members, it is clear that 7 councillors will stand down this September. Every effort must therefore be made to encourage Dunbar residents to step forward and ensure that the next DCC is quorate with at least 6 members.
