Two of our number have stepped down recently to spend more time with their young family. This has created two vacancies on the Dunbar Community Council, so we are now seeking volunteers who wish to join us, to serve the community, and help make Dunbar a better place to live. Our meetings are normally held on the third Monday of the month, in the Council Chamber of Dunbar Town House. Our task is to communicate the views of Dunbar Residents to East Lothian Council, and to undertake projects to improve the town, like the High Street Painting project, East Beach improvements, Civic Week, Christmas Lights, and much more. Apart from the one meeting per month, there will be email traffic between times concerning current projects. The time commitment is therefore not unduly onerous. Too many people these days are only prepared to snipe from the sidelines on social media, so here is an opportunity for your voice to be heard and to make a difference.
