The Summer’s Cool program came to an end today when the Dunbar Fashion School kids had their red carpet parade and “Oscar” presentation ceremony. This six week long program was sponsored and fully funded by the Dunbar and East Linton Area Partnership to provide learning opportunites for children in the Dunbar cluster of schools who might not otherwise have had the opportunity for these activities. A total of 118 local children have benefitted from courses at the Fashion School, Foxlake, and Coast to Coast.
This will be followed up with feedback from parents, course providers, teachers and the kids themselves in order to quantify the educational benefits. An analysis will be carried out to determine if this should be repeated in future years, meanwhile do let us have your thoughts.
