Leading Cadet Samantha Kaszuba of Dunbar Sea Cadets has been appointed as Northern Area’s Navy Board Cadet for 2017. This is a prestigious role and a great honour. It is the first time it has been awarded to a Dunbar cadet and the first time it has been awarded to any cadet in the Edinburgh area. Sam will represent the Sea Cadets at many official Royal Navy ceremonies and functions throughout 2017, including formal parades, ship visits, royal occasions, opening ceremonies and presentations and awards. The role will provide Sam with a privileged insight into higher naval policy and the work of very senior Royal Navy serving officers.
