Dunbar is working with other organisations in East Lothian to help reduce the amount of refuse sent to landfills, with the eventual goal of ‘zero waste’ going to landfill. Dunbar Zero Waste have a team of professionals on hand to help make it easier for schools, businesses and households to reduce, reuse and recycle more. The main aim is to reduce our waste to landfill and maximise reuse and recycling across Dunbar and District. This pilot project will introduce number of community-led educational initiatives, and will include opening a facility to help make re-using goods easier.
