The meeting was not quorate due to the unavoidable absence of 6 members. the main points discussed were as follows:
- Gala Day with a Paint Brush: Mike Wilson, a journalist from Edinburgh described his plan for crowd-sourcing and volunteering for community projects.
- Civic Week: plans are developing for DCC members to manage Civic Week 2018 in the absence of a single volunteer.
- Local Priority Grant Applications: the outstanding applications were deferred until the December meeting.
- Gladman Developments at Newtonlees: this application was agreed in principle at a recent ELC planning meeting. Councillor Hampshire explained his rationale for supporting this application.
