Here are the main points from the September meeting:
- The Dunbar Golf Club gave a presentation about their planning application for new sporting facilities and 78 new homes at Deer Park site. This part of the meeting was attended by a number of members of the public who had an interest in the development. There followed a lively discussion on a number of related issues.
- Following the submission of a paper on the subject, it was agreed that a heritage committee would be formed as a sub-committee of DCC for “the study, interpretation and preservation of Dunbar’s rich heritage in conjunction with partner organisations”.
- Paul McLennan MSP reported that the rail timetable changes proposed for May 2022 had been deferred, also Transpennine Express will be running services with stops at Dunbar.
- A comprehensive community report was circulated with updates on DCC Initiatives, planning applications, town maintenance etc.
